Chris Weiermiller

Kazu could always turn something I feared was a negative into a positive. I was constantly focused on whether I was good enough or if people would respond to my work and Kazu always had the right words to help ease my fears. He would often stay after class and give individual instruction or offer up a story about a certain job he had worked on. He talked about the business of being an artist, yet he also reminded us never to lose the magic and spark that made us artists in the first place. He was kind and gentle and profoundly talented and he left an indelible mark on my life. Thank you Kazu, you will be missed.....
