Chris Rahn
I’ve never met anyone that embodied the intensity and passion of the human spirit the way that Kazu did. My time with him was brief, just one class really, but he taught me so much that I’ll never forget.
I learned a lot from him about process and technique but above all, what I learned from Kazu was that none of that matters if your art is devoid of feeling. The reason we humans make art is to let someone else feel what we feel.
This tribute painting is about the original spark of that human spirit that Kazu taught me so much about.
